Afternoon 1, Session 1: Focus on the Mariana vents – lithosphere and lithosphere-hydrosphere linkage

Session Chair: Stace Beaulieu

This session will provide an overview of the tectonic settings in the Mariana region and illustrate the distribution of hydrothermal vents. We will conclude with some time to discuss topographic relief in the Mariana region, which will be important for physical oceanographers.
